The Soil and Water Conservation District can assist you in the seeding of conservation areas.
For areas 5 acres or less we can custom seed your site with our 4 foot no-till seeder (seen above). Rates are based on a base fee and tach hours used to seed the site.
For larger projects we like to use our 20ft broadcast air seeder (see video below).
We have done projects from 1/2 to 100 acres.
Our broadcast air seeder is used for pollinators, cover crops, and native prairie grasses.

Project at Kishwaukee Water Reclamation District
The DeKalb County Pheasants Forever Chapter has a 10ft no-till drills available to rent for habitat planting within DeKalb County.
Rental rates are $10/ acre for the drill and delivery is $100 (if needed). Please contact the Soil and Water Conservation District office to make arrangements and to find out more information.
